Dirty Projectors - “About to Die”
I went to the Dirty Projectors’ hometown show in Brooklyn Tuesday night (unofficially, their album release show), and all their new songs felt right at home in the scenic Prospect Park. The Art-Folk on Swing Lo Magellan was the perfect soundtrack for the beautiful weather in the most musically-conscious of the five boroughs. The gorgeous harmonies of the intricate, yet danceable, “About to Die” was just what the crowd needed to get going as the band launched into a set filled to the brim with new music.
Dave Longstreth and co. are officially back, and they even have more on the way.
